Eye Care Through Technology
At Clarion Optometry Group, our technology plays a huge role in our daily operations. We implement technology throughout our eye care services, including comprehensive eye exams, dry eye treatment, and eye disease management.
We are continuously striving to improve our practice by embracing new technologies and techniques. With technology like the Optos Silverstone, DRSplus, and more, our team can diagnose and treat eye conditions in their early stages.

Our eye exams are about more than just updating your prescription—we also take a closer look at your eyes and vision through retinal imaging.
Our digital imaging allows us to check for signs of eye disease and other vision issues. Our retinal imaging can benefit any patient, but especially those with high blood pressure, diabetes, or eye-related issues in their background.
Our Technology & How It Helps
Our technology is brought in with your eye care needs in mind. Through our imaging and eye measurement technology, we can get a closer look at your eyes and get a full picture of your visual health.
From the diagnostic stage, we can then begin exploring treatment options that can help you. We want our patients to know how our technology works, so please feel free to ask our team about our technology—we’re always happy to talk about it.
DRSplus
iCare DRSplus confocal fundus imaging system uses white LED illumination to offer high-quality TrueColor images. These rich, detailed images offer sharper optical resolution and contrast, allowing us to get a clearer picture of the back of your eye.
The fast and fully automated DRSplus provides imaging through pupils as small as 2.5 mm without the need for dilation for a quick, comfortable patient experience. This device offers the advantage of quick examination time that helps us provide care in a timely manner.
OCULUS Keratograph
For specialized scans and testing, we use the OCULUS Keratograph 5M. This advanced corneal topographer has a built-in real keratometer and a color camera optimized for external imaging.
Unique features of this diagnostic machine include examining the meibomian glands, noninvasive tear film break-up time, and the tear meniscus height measurement—all these provide our doctors with the ability to detect several eye diseases and conditions, such as dry eye, for further assessment and treatment.
Optos Silverstone
There is no such thing as “regular” eye exams when you have the Optos Silverstone. Our Wellness package features photos and scans taken by the Optos Silverstone SS OCT imaging device. The Silverstone is a powerful tool for examining the retina, having ultra-widefield imaging capabilities with integrated swept source OCT.
This diagnostic tool can produce a 200-degree single-capture retinal image in less than half a second with incomparable clarity. The Silverstone is designed to scan across the retina and into the periphery, maximizing range and view. Ask one of our doctors or helpful technicians for more information about our Optos Silverstone imaging tool to learn how it could benefit you.
Visionix VX130
The Vision VX130 is an instrument that combines technologies never seen in a single instrument (Scheimpflug tomography, Shack-Hartmann wavefront aberrometry, and Placido ring corneal topography) and provides essential data to improve our patient treatments.
This diagnostic device also features analysis of the anterior and posterior surface of the cornea, which is key to screening and monitoring keratoconus and ectasia with fully automated measurements.
Looking Out for Your Vision
We believe the technology we bring into our practice is an investment in our patients. We’re always on the lookout for new ways to help our patients and address their unique vision needs.
Your eye health is our priority—contact us today to schedule your appointment and learn more about the technology we offer.
